In 2024-25, we welcomed St Eugene Middle School 7th & 8th students to participate in our local 2025Brown Deer Junior’s Club competition, along with the 7th & 8th grade students from Brown Deer Middle School Students.

2025 Helen Farnsworth Mears Art Contest Winners
STATE WINNERS:
Blessed Igwike (7th Grade, St Eugene) “Heavenly Door” drawing won 2nd at State, 3rd at the Local and District and People’s Choice.
This State winning artwork will be on display through the summer of 2025 at the Oshkosh Public Museum, the home of Helen Mears.
Axel Kane (8th Grade, BD Middle): “Summer”drawing won Honorable Mention at State, and 1st at District.
DISTRICT and LOCAL WINNERS

Patrick Anderson (8th Grade, St Eugene): “Mary Mosaic” won 3rd at Local and Honorable Mention at District.
For the first time, in 2025, five 2 Dimensional Artworks were awarded Honorable Mentions at the request of the judges:

Miles Chatfield (7th Grade, BD Middle): “Fish Cup” won 2nd at Local and District.
Luke Tomzak (7th Grade, St Eugene): “Zone Tailed Hawk” won 3rd at Local and District.
Posi Sokunbi (7th Grade, BD Middle): “Rocky” won Honorable mention at Local.
Note: All artwork that placed at District competed at the State Competition.
