Brown Deer Juniors were looking forward to a Hands On Volunteer opportunity to end the year on December 19th at Woods Cemetery on National Avenue. This is a national event called Wreaths Across America where wreaths are placed on the graves of veterans and all cemeteries in the nation participating start the ceremony at exactly noon.  A group of six members were participating in the ceremony. Those who weren't able to attend in person also sponsored seven wreaths. 

This is still 2020, so we shouldn't have been surprised when, a week before the event, the in-person portion was changed to virtual and our volunteers were not able to participate. We're glad that we were still able to support the event by sponsoring the wreaths and look forward to more volunteering in 2021!
