Our Stories 

At the Brown Deer Village Board meeting on May 19, 2025, the Brown Deer Junior Woman's Club presented a check to purchase POW/MIA flags. These flags are flown at the Village Hall. A few members of the Brown Deer Junior Woman's Club gave an additional donation in honor of a loved one. 

Dorothy Protz donated in honor of her father, Robert Emling, and her father-in-law, William B. Protz; both served in the US Army during World War II. Deborah Woods donated in honor of her father, Frank I. Jones, who served in the US Army during the Korean War. Carol Croegaert donated in honor of her husband, Scott Croegaert, who served in the US Air Force and her dad, John Doornek, who served in the US Army.

Let us remember all the service members who have served our country, whether MIA, POW, active duty, past or present. They have done so for our freedom.
